@Revel: I didn't want to read and not reply. I felt the same strains in the last part of pregnancy. It seemed like many of our struggles were magnified under the increased stress. We too often butt heads about discipline for DD and it's a constant source of conflict for us.

I will say that immediately after the birth things were so good, almost euphoric. But a few months later we were back in a really rough patch - and unfortunately that's holding steady and baby is over a year...

It's really, really hard. I'm hoping you have one or two close supports nearby so you're not feeling alone in this.

Big hugs!!!

My husband and I are having a lot of trouble communicating and seem to just not be able to get along for very long theses days. A lot is centered on discipline for our 4 yr old, a long standing issue, plus him just generally shutting down and sulking when an issue comes up rather than upset me (lots of tears from me these days, I've been super emotional). Which of course upsets me more!

I'm due with baby 2 at the end of August and just kind of at a loss. I'm sure some of this is just new baby jitters but I'm worried about the stress being bad for baby and where we're going to find ourselves in a few months.

Not sure what I'm looking for, anyone else struggling with their partner in pregnancy?
