I'm in the middle of week 30 and I was just saying how once I started the 3rd trimester, my hormones kicked in. I've almost started crying at the most ridiculous things. Guy made my order wrong at lunch? I almost started crying while he fixed it. Glass of water knocked over at dinner? I almost cried b/c I didn't think the waiter was being helpful. So many things have set me off. The worst part is that I know it's crazy to be so upset but I have no control over it!

I've been so unemotional during pregnancy! I think I'm a freak! I didn't cry at all during the first tri as it was just too much effort with the sickness, lol. When I started feeling better I cried for about two days - I think it was a release - and since then, nothing! Even when really bad things have happened! Oh apart from at trashy TV, that can always tug the heartstrings : )

I've definitely been a little bit more emotional in the third trimester! My DH had to go in for a routine outpatient procedure and all I could think about is if something went wrong and he left me 36 weeks pregnant all alone! I was a horrible mess!

I think it's pretty normal! I think with the hormones and the lack of sleep I'm getting, I'm just more emotional in general!

I'm at 23 weeks, so near the third trimester and I've had some weepy days. I started crying at a baseball game on Monday because I had a headache and threw up. Emotions are...fun.

Have you tried putting on a movie that you know makes you emotional? Perhaps you just need the cathartic release so that you can get on with your day? Maybe just youtube a few clips that are especially moving?

I don't know if I can get much worse. I'm 18 weeks, and I cry at everything, happy or sad. I cried yesterday because they gave me the first parking spot closest to the building at work yesterday. Then I cried last night at the movie The Company Men, but just at this one part where Ben Affleck gets a construction job and they break for lunch and he says, "Ooh, where are we going?" when they're all just eating lunch they brought and he didn't bring any. I couldn't even watch the rest of the movie!

I've had these emotions my entire pregnancy, unfortunately, but lately it's really easy to set me off. I was just sobbing last night because if I eat any dairy my post-nasal drip makes me throw up, but anything spicy gives me heartburn, can't lay on my side because my hips hurt and if I sit/lay any other way my back kills. and I peed 9 times in 45 minutes trying to fall asleep.

3 more weeks, 3 more weeks..

My emotions have been up and down the entire pregnancy.
Last night I needed a good cry too. I'm just entering the third tri, hoping it's not too emotional.

@Penny Lane: I was the same way! I cried everyday for the first 3 weeks pp. I couldn't stop! Most of the time I wasn't even sad, just super weepy. And once I started, I couldn't stop!

I was a hot mess my entire pregnancy. Things that I KNEW wouldn't upset me normally made me cry and cry and cry and CRY when I was pregnant. One day, my friend jokingly texted me that I was the most miserable pregnant woman ever, and I cried (ugly cry) all the way to work (45 minute drive). I would have totally laughed that off not pregnant.

I found that omega 3's really helped me stabilize my moods.

Funny that you say this because I had a full meltdown last night and that was a first for me for this pregnancy. I was annoyed at husband about something and I probably could have spoken to him rationally about it, but once I started talking I just started crying which turned into uncontrollable sobs and I couldn't stop for a little while. That almost never happens to me. I think it was a combo of being tired, stressed out, hungry and hormones.

So, before I was pregnant, I could pretty much count on having a good, solid cry about once a month right before AF was set to arrive. I didn't realize how much a good 1x a month cry session helped my sanity.

I pretty much spent the whole day today being super weepy and had like 3 or 4 complete sob sessions. I haven't felt that way in over 7 months (besides a few specific incident specific times where something actually occurred to make me cry). I really have struggled to find a way to have a more regular release of emotions during pregnancy. It just seems like it has been so long since I had a good cry that it all built up and I couldn't keep myself together today, and I wonder if it is because it has been so long since the last time my body felt like it needed to have an emotional day like today.

Did you find yourself more emotional in the 3rd trimester?
