@allison, not yet! I'm only 22 weeks. I get up once most nights. I'm getting to the point where I stir when I need to roll over. But I'll get up twice if i chug a bunch of water before 7pm. And I"ll wake up at like, midnight....and if i can't go right back to sleep, i lay there and get hungry :P

@jedeve: I've been waking to eat since part way through my second trimester. And I try to stop drinking fluids by 7:30 so I won't have to get up a pee, but it never works. I wake up to pee or with enormous thirst. Also I wake up because I'm just uncomfortable with a sore hip or because I'm so congested (no cold, just pregnancy congested) So, these days I wake up about 4 times per night. I'm exhausted. Occassionally I don't wake up hungry and it's usually when I've eaten a big homemade, super healthy fibre-packed muffin before bed. Fortunately I rarely get heartburn.

Generally I wake up once to munch on some Tums and then back to sleep for me. I've had some nights with insomnia though, it really frustrating and certainly doesn't help my already low energy stores.

@blackbird: you're in 3rd tri and can sleep through the night?! I am so incredibly jealous of you right now.

I get up at least 5 times a night. Some nights, it's every hour. Always to pee. I tried to stop drinking after 6 or 7, but I'm always so thirsty by bedtime if I do that.

If I eat too close to bedtime, I'm up most of the night with reflux. But when I do sleep, I usually get up every hour to an hour and half to pee. It's ridiculous. My doctor said I'll probably get more sleep when the baby comes than I am now.

All of your miseries make me feel better! I thought I was 5x was abnormal. Glad to hear it's not!

I know I should go to bed earlier so that I can get more hours of sleep...but honestly, waking up for the first time at midnight or so is just too depressing. It's like I want to minimize the hours I put myself through this.

I'm up 3-5 times per night to pee. Usually one of those trips involves chowing some Tums as well. One night a few weeks ago I slept for five straight hours, and I felt AWESOME.

I guess I'm technically in the 4th tri because I'm overdue, but I am up hourly for some combination of pee/take Tums/eat something.

I'm waking up about 5-6 times per night at 38 weeks. I'm probably getting about 4 hours of sleep total. It sucks.

So far about one or none. But it's just none because when I wake up at 4 a.m. with a full bladder I try to go back to sleep because I'm so tired. Couldn't make it this morning, though. I wouldn't be able to eat anything even if I did wake up hungry, though :(

No, it's to eat. I have a bladder disorder, so I will feel like I have to pee anyway so it doesn't really help; it's actually worse if I'm dehydrated.

Is it to pee? Maybe you can front load all your liquids and stop drinking after 6pm? I get up one or two times a night if i drink before bed. But otherwise, I can sleep through. You might be able to cut the trips down, at least =\

I'm up five times a night anymore. Usually because I'm hungry, though last night I tried not to eat when I woke up at 5 and 6. It's super frustrating, so I end up taking unisom every few nights because I want to sleep well, but I need to stop that because I can't be on unisom when I to into labor!!

Is this normal? I try to eat something with more protein but I have really bad heartburn too, so if the hunger doesn't keep me up, that does. I just hope I'm not doing this plus feeding a baby in between in a few months!
