Some good advice here. I would try and rest for the most part, but make sure you get a little light exercise (I did walking) most days (I'm sure that made my labour easier and helped LO arrive on time). You've probably already thought of it, but I wish I had gotten the right number/mix of clothes before LO arrived, as well as nappies, wipes etc. etc. so we didn't have to keep running out for things.

Buy Earth Mama Angel Baby Nipple Balm and bring it to the hospital. Lanolin made my nipples crack but EMAB balm fixed them right up.

@HazelEyes: we took lots of little day trips to places in our state we'd never been before. We'd go for a long drive, walk around, poke in some stores, go out to eat.... it was really nice. I look back fondly on those trips because they definitely would be a whole different ball game now.
Go out with your friends a few times. Really focus on connecting and building relationships with folks in your life because when the baby comes those sometimes slide.

Definitely make as many freezer meals as you can. Don't forget about snacks and breakfast. I made and froze waffles, muffins, banana bread, etc. in individual servings.

I would also enjoy a night out at your favorite restaurant, and a nice restaurant that isn't kid friendly if you enjoy those. :)

Don't forget to stock up on extra batteries for any gear you'll be using right away.

I also bookmarked our birth announcement and printed out labels to make life easier.

We stocked up on all of the basics also - paper towels, toilet paper, soaps, body wash, etc.

-Get your postpartum supplies and stuff you need for your hospital bag together.
-Wash all the baby's clothes, blankets, etc.

ETA: In the spoil yourself vein that others suggested, make one last hair appointment and get a pedicure or two.. :)

Spend lots of time away from home (with SO, friends etc).
Purchase recovery items like pain meds, pads, etc.
Relax! Enjoy a good book or some good non kid friendly movies.
Make meals to freeze.
Spoil yourself because once baby is here, baby usually gets spoiled!

@HazelEyes: If I were you, I would:
-- Spend as much quality time as possible with your significant other and your friends as you can - even if you are exhausted. It's the last time your time will be "your own"
--Cook and freeze as much food as your freezer will hold.
--Go to Target, and buy 3-4 of every household/toiletry/non-food thing you usually use. It will save you so much hassle from having to deal with running out of stuff when grocery shopping with a baby in tow is hassle enough.
--If you are already a reading type (and it seems like you are), I would also suggest a book or two on baby sleep - I wish I had done this, since trying to read anything all the way through when frazzled with a newborn is tough. I would suggest Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child, as it really explains the physiology of sleep very clearly.

Good luck and try to enjoy these few weeks - they are tough on the body, and sleep gets hard to come by, but it gets a little harder with a newborn (and then eventually gets better...).

Go out to the movies and dinner! We went out to lunch a week after LO was born, but dinners are still difficult three months later. Make sure you are signed up for amazon prime. Maybe make meals to freeze (I was really glad I did this).

Ok, so now that I am officially in my third trimester and seeing my due date approaching quickly, I thought I would check in with all of the wisdom here on HB and see what recommendations you have (besides sleep) for me to do in the final countdown while I have the flexibility!

My shower is not until February, so I'm not buying a lot of things, and the nursery is painted and has furniture. We signed up for birth/breastfeeding/infant classes, have day care (kind of) squared away, and are checking out pediatricians...

I have read Baby Bargains, Happiest Baby, One Year to an Organized Life w Baby, and Simkin's Pregnancy, Childbirth & Newborn. (Not that I want to be frantic with a million books, but if there is something that I should read up on first-- I'm in)

So Bees, what will I be very happy I used my last three months doing??
