He loves dogs now, and was just as devastated as I was when our last one passed away... but sometimes he doesn't get how training a dog works. Our new puppy, Leroy, doesn't really like walks yet and sometimes he'll lie down in the grass on the middle of a walk. My DH once dragged him a few feet thinking that would teach him to get up and walk. What he didn't understand is that that will just make him hate walks even more. People who haven't been around animals much just don't get it sometimes and many seem to think you need to physically punish a dog for it to learn.</p> <p>Laughing or smirking at dragging the dog though?
