@TurtleDoves: Yes, it went away immediately. I actually was overdue and I was SOOO miserable that my doctor induced me so I didn't have to suffer anymore.

@TurtleDoves: Oh that's good! Doesn't hurt to seek help from a dermatologist. Grandpa's pine tar soap, I believe, is all natural and it soaps up nicely. You just have to get used to the scent. My husband was like... "what's that smell?" LOL! I told him I'll do anything to feel relief. And I also read that V8 juice helps as well just like @MrsHotDog mentioned. I just couldn't stomach drinking more than a sip of the juice. :P

I had pupps! :( mine only lasted a few weeks but it was horrible. I took oatmeal baths and tested out tons of lotion until I found one that really helped and anti-itch cream. The dr. gave me a pill but it didn't work for me. Hope its not pupps for you!

I had PUPPS so I can commiserate with you. I got it at the beginning of my seventh month and I was miserable. Mine got worse with heat (which might be why it gets worse in the shower). I also used Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap and it did provide some relief. I showered with it multiple times a day. My doctor wasn't comfortable with the steroid shot so I had to suffer through with the soap and oatmeal baths. I literally spent days laying on the couch completely topless because I couldn't handle anything touching my stomach. My doctor did prescribe me sleep pills because I couldn't even let the sheets touch me. But, I never thought about PUPPS again because it literally was gone by the time my epidural wore off after labor.

Not to scare you with my story but I do strongly suggest the soap and oatmeal baths. I also read online that some people swore by V8 juice because of something with how your liver processes it.

I hope you are wrong though!

I had PUPPP around 32 weeks and it was awful b/c I also had terrible tooth pain (resulted in a root canal) so I woke up one morning itching like crazy and crying from major tooth pain. My husband didn't even know what to do. Anyway, mine started in my arm pits and in the folds. It was SO weird! Then it spread all over my body. I looked terrible so I know exactly how you feel. My friend recommended Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap. I used it twice a day for one week and saw major improvement. And by the end of two weeks my rash was miraculously gone. Turns out a lot of pregnant women swear by it. Now I'm using it on my 5 month old who has eczema and his redness is all gone. Highly recommend. There are many uses for this soap. Smell is not so great but better than an itchy body! Hope you find relief soon!

So for the last week I've developed this horrible itchy rash between my belly button and pubic bone...oh my goodness-it is insanely itchy. I *wish* I could be clawed by a cat. I itch and itch and itch and it still isn't enough! And it's worse in the shower. I'm kind of sad because all signs point to PUPPP...which isn't harmful yet has no cure except delivery:( 6+ more weeks of this!?
Anyone else have/had PUPPP?

PUPPP info from thebump.com:
"Also known as PUPP or PUPPs, it’s a pregnancy skin condition where you get small, red, itchy bumps on your skin.

What are the signs of PUPPP?

Itchy skin and a rash that’s raised -- it usually starts in the abdomen and spreads from there.

Are there any tests for PUPPP?

Your doc will probably examine you and might test for other skin problems to rule them out.

How common is PUPPP?

According to The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, about 1 in every 200 pregnant women get it.

How did I get PUPPP?

Sorry, but it’s another annoying side effect of pregnancy.

How will my PUPPP affect my baby?

It shouldn’t.

What’s the best way to treat PUPPP?

Fight the itch with oatmeal baths or anti-itch creams. Your doc may prescribe an oral medication that’s pregnancy-safe."
