@Lillybee: Do you know what the number was? Anything under 5 is not pregnant, and I think FRERs can register a :bfp: somewhere around 15. Either way, I'm sure this is frustrating!

@Mrs.Someone: Yes. She said there was not enough HCG for a positive test and that the levels could rise if I truly was pregnant. If my period comes then we know that I'm not.

If your late a blood test should have been accurate. Maybe your dates are off?

@wonderstruck: I guess it was not so high that they felt it was extremely worrisome and after checking my blood glucose it was not that high. I know that elevated glucose in the urine is never normal which was a reason they were concerned. I still made an appointment with my regular doctor to dollow up about it tomorrow, and my OB did advise she would follow up about it as well. I have always had normal glucose levels and even a month ago my glucose levels in urine was negative and in my blood low. So now I wonder why I would have this problem all of a sudden.

If they are truly pregnancy symptoms, then a blood test would have been accurate. Symptoms can't happen until there is HcG in your system. Sorry!

Yes. Ovulated strong. I was on Depo for 7 years and when I came off I had a little trouble getting back right for a year and couldn't get pregnant. Started using fertility meds and have been ovulating strong but yet to get pregnant. The doctor said she has seen people who just show positive late. They did another Progesterone check on me and I have to wait for those results. This is hard and plus hoping and wishing you are pregnant.

Hate to worry you, but honestly it sounds to me like they should be more concerned about testing for diabetes (regular, not gestational) than pregnancy. Either way I hope you get answers soon.

If your period is 4 days late, a drugstore pregnancy test would be accurate... A blood test especially should have shown HCG above 5 by now if you are pregnant (below 5 is considered negative). At this point I think all you can do is wait a week and take another test or see if AF arrives.

You said you're on Clomid. Do you have trouble with ovulation? Were you monitored or do you chart to confirm O?

@Lillybee: I did some internet researching (as I had never heard of this as a sign of pregnancy) and it appears that it's fairly rare to be an indicator. Something I read did say that it can be impacted by what you eat before the test.

Don't lose hope! Just keep testing until AF comes.. I wish I had better advice than that - sorry :meh:

Thank you! The blood tests were negative and so was the urine. They felt it may have been too early, even though I have missed my period. I was also on Clomid so very strange to get off schedule for me. They were not satisfied with my blood glucose either, but said it wasn't so high that they would give me a medication. We do have diabetes that runs in the family but my sugar levels have always been great. Maybe that's why they think pregnancy can cause it? I don't know. I know sugar in your urine is not normal but I wonder if it's bad for me.

My mom had this happen to her (the finding sugar in her urine). It was just a sign of diabetes for her, not of pregnancy. Did they take blood work? Even if you are a slow producer of HCG, they should still be able to find some levels if you are pregnant.

Fingers crossed for you!

Okay lady bees, help me out here. My current and recent symptoms were sore breasts (getting worse), headaches, backache, and nausea. I brown spotted last Tuesday and then it just went away. Now I have noticed that I am extremely emotional and I want to cry lol. My period is now 4 days late. So I wasn't feeling well yesterday and went to get a check. The doctor thinks it is too early to see my pregnancy and/or I'm a slow producer of hormone. She said there is a chance that I am pregnant with my symptoms but she can't say with certainty yet. Then she says there was elevated glucose in my urine and they are concerned and that can be a sign of pregnancy, of course I would need to be checked for gestational diabetes if I was. Has this happened to anyone with the sugar in urine? I'm bummed not being able to confirm if I'm pregnant or not and bummed about finding sugar in my urine.
