I didn't have to go home; they moved her to a room with a couch/bed so I could stay. She's under the lights for jaundice so I don't get to hold her as much (hoping she'll go off those in the morning), but Christopher and I've both gotten to give her her bottle and stuff. Milk is coming in good, so her last bottle was all milk, no formula. She's latched a couple times, but pretty sure she's not getting much of anything yet. The tube in her nose was to feed her (it goes into her stomach), but now she's on bottles. Not sure if they'll leave it or not. They use it to see if she's digesting properly too (by drawing on it and seeing if any undigested milk comes out). Also, her IV started leaking so they switched to her other so now one hand is free. Hopefully she'll be off the IV entirely in a day or two. Mostly she's just sleeping a lot! </p> <p>Also, blog post is up with the birth story. I'll try to share it here soon, but I only have my hisband's work laptop, so I'm not sure if I'm allowed to log on to here with it. They've got her off oxygen, and we held her most of the day yesterday and are doing the same today. We've gotten to try breastfeeding, which is a lot sooner than expected, and I'm getting a little colostrum when pumping. She's getting that and some formula today. If things keep going like they are, she'll be home plenty soon. :)</p> <p>I'm going to finish typing the birth story today, so that will be up on my blog soon.
