I never crawled. I started standing on my own with 8 month and walking with 9. After that I crawled around other babies though...

@MamaCate: She has always kind of been like that too. Fascinating to see how different milestones are met!

@googly-eyes: The first time she did it, I was working. I feel eyes on me, and look over and there she is! I had to change my whole set up for safety reasons. I'd rather her practice on the couch, and not the hard table!

I'm told I was barely crawling before I can walk, so I'd say it's not the norm but absolutely within the normal range, if that makes sense! It's a new accomplishment/milestone, celebrate!! Yay LO! :)

My LO started pulling up right at 7 months but didn't crawl until 9 months. She was just obsessed with being vertical from day 1. Once she was able to pull up, she started cruising on furniture. It seemed like she mostly crawled to get from one pull up location to the other even when she did. She started taking steps right around 10 months. So you may have any early walker!

@adnama: It wouldn't stun me. She generally hates tummy time, she'll do it, but always under protest. She will probably just sit on her hinder until she can walk!

My LO was pulling up and cruising a couple of weeks before she could crawl. She also didn't figure out the laying to sitting transition until she started crawling.

DD is seven months and a handful of days. Currently she is working on crawling, and I would guess that she will be taking off in a few weeks. She also doesn't pull herself to a sitting position, but I'm guessing she will do that once she is comfortable with crawling. The weird thing, though, is that she can pull herself into a standing position and then stand while holding onto an object. Doesn't that seem backwards? Anyone else have a LO that does or did this?

She seems to want to run before she can walk!
