I'm not sure. There will be 32 months between #1 and #2 - we wanted a smaller gap but I didn't get my period back until 16 months pp and then we has a miscarriage. We think we do want a third but have to factor in my age, a move back to the UK (which will mean taking into account a big financial hit and the time it takes for DH to find a job and us to get a house etc) and me wanting to get get my career going again. Ideally we want a smaller gap this time but as we learned, sometimes the universe has other plans.

If we go for a third, it would be a smaller or similar age gap to minimize the total age gap between 1 and 3.

Depends if LO2 is a boy or girl ;) If another girl, LO3 will likely be a shorter gap.

#1 and #2 will be 20 months apart. I'd like the same gap for #2 and #3, but plans don't always work out. #1 took over a year of TTC and a m/c and I got pregnant with #2 the first month, so I guess it depends. I would like to start trying again once #2 is 12 months or so.

This is a big question in our household right now. Due in a month with #2 and my LO's will be almost 3 years apart. Honestly, I needed that time between kids to really adjust to parenting and feel like I got some of "me" back after newborn days.

I'm 33 and DH is 36 so I kind of don't want to wait forever for #3. I'm considering possibly trying when #2 is like, 18 months, depending largely on how easy of a baby he is. The other thing is, we're sending our kids to Catholic school so it pains me to have to pay tuition for 3 :(

We will hopefully have about a 3 year gap between #1 and #2. Anticipating a smaller gap (more like 2 years) between #2 and #3.

My husband will be making significantly more money by that time so it will be okay financially for me to be at home straight through (part of the 3 year gap has been I went back to work part time to help out)- but I don't want to stay out of the field for toooo long. Plus #1 will start kindergarten around the time that #3 is born, so I will still only have two at home for most of the day.

our state pays a credit toward preschool, which will cover the part time program we plan on putting our daughter in, so the cost of care isn't as big of a consideration.

That said, the plan may change depending on the next place we live. We may wait a little longer for #3 in order to get into a bigger place.

First two are 20 months apart. Next one will be 3+ year difference. I need the older ones to be a little more self sufficient because I solo parent a lot and no family/help nearby.

#1 & #2 are 21 months apart. We are currently TTC #3 and if we get pregnant this cycle #2 & #3 would be 23 months apart. We started trying shortly after #2 turned 1 in hopes of a similar age gap.

I wanted them all close but we are waiting for number 2 until DH is done this insane work program. So 1 and 2 will be hopefully 2.5ish years apart? Hopefully 3 and maybe 4 will all be under 2 years apart.

1 and 2 will hopefully be 2.5 years apart, then 1.5-2 years for 3 and 4! DD is older and im not going to get any younger, and would also like to be a surrogate after we are done, so we need to pop them out pretty fast!

We needed the girls to be more self sufficient before having a third. I needed it to be safe that I was only holding the hands of the younger two while in parking lots etc.

Girls are 21 months apart and our son is 3 years younger than #2. Another factor was preschool tuition. I can't afford three at once, so I needed someone to be 5 before putting #3 in care.

DD and DS#1 are 23 months apart. Ds#1 and DS#2 are 22 months apart. For now, we have stopped, but if we decide to go for 4 there will be a bigger age gap. Mostly because if we want a 22/23 month age gap I would have to get pregnant right now and DH isn't on board.

Same boat as you. DS1 and 2 will be 2.5 years apart, mostly because we mad a miscarriage in between. We started trying for #2 when #1 was 16m old, got preg and m/c within a few months and got our sticky baby when he was 21m old.

I think my doc says to wait 9m in between csections (so 18m birth to bith), so we will wait at least that long, but probably not much longer. I'd say a year at most.

Long story short, I'd like #3 to be not that long after #2.

Is (Will) the age gap between LO#1 and #2 be closer or between #2 and #3?

DS and DS#2 will be just over 2.5 years apart. I needed a break after pregnancy and breastfeeding and had a cp in between that time.

If we decide to jump on the three train after DS#2 is here, we'd like to start trying a year earlier! So looking at shooting for a 1.5 year gap!

(I want to be done having babies earlier and DH wants them as close together as possible with my comfort of spacing the pregnancies!)
