Both babies! Ok, a little over dramatic, but it made so much difference to both my kids. Ds started at 6 weeks, dd at 8 weeks. We tried weaning off regularly but in the end we stuck to it as poor DS, who is/was FPIES to dairy/soy (and everything else too as an infant) took it til he was 2.5 and his reflux was under control.<br /> My personal view? It can't hurt to try and see if it helps her?<br /> Also, my son always vomited on elecare but didn't on neocate... My dd on the other hand wouldn't touch neocate (at around 10 months of age) but did start drinking elecare happily at around 15 m.<br /> Good luck, I know it's very hard having a bubby with these issues, esp when every feed is a struggle. I'm out the other side mostly and there are new struggles (poor 5 yo son can't eat wheat/dairy/soy so he feels a bit left out sometimes at birthdays etc) but nothing like that stress of battling to feed a baby. I haven't heard anything about iy not working in younger kids. She has FPIES and we switched to an elemental formula (Elecare). She now spits up a ton and though it's always been challenge to feed her it's now a battle. Our GI doctor wants us to try Omeprazole. I'm a little hesitant because the little reading I've done makes it sound as though PPI's aren't proven to be very effective in LO's under a year.</p> <p>Anyway, just curious if anyone has experience with their babe being on this med and what their thoughts are :) </p>
