LOs room is carpet &amp; she plays in there a lot but we also have wood floor colored foam puzzle mats &amp; a big rug in the living room. One thing I do with all of my rugs is buy carpet padding (not the non skid rug stuff but actual thick carpet padding foam) &amp; duct tape it to the bottom of my big area rugs to make it really soft &amp; padded. Once the LO is mobile, I don't think I'll worry about keeping her confined. I would have no problem letting our baby play on the carpet because we vacuum A LOT. At least 2 times a week on a bad week.</p> <p>At the new house because we will have a basement the only spaces with carpet will be the family room and hallway into bedrooms. I won't have issues letting her play on the carpet then either.</p> <p>Baking soda is a great way to clean &amp; deodorize your carpet. She would never stay on a blanket, so I just let her roam around.
