I took the pills, just make sure the active ingredient is guaifenesin, any others will dry you up. I took it 5 days before O and 1 day after. I noticed a huge difference in cm once I started taking it. We spent quite a bit (obviously not even close to the amount of someone who does IVF though). Books (TCOYF, Making Babies), vitamins (D, B6, FertileCM), over the counter progesterone cream, prometrium (lots of bottles…that was expensive since it’s prescription), progesterone in oil shots (also pretty expensive), acupuncture, doctor copays. And that’s not to mention the OPKs and pregnancy tests. I’d buy cheapies but then I’d pay overnight shipping which usually ended up costing us more than the actual tests! I don’t even want to add it all up!
