LO has used the Angel Dear monkey pillow since sometime after turning 1 (crazy that I really can't remember when it was). He LOVES it. And it seems to keep him more in one place than he was before.

my LO is 24 months old, sleeps in a toddler bed, and we have not given him a pillow. he doesn't show a particular interest in our pillows when he's on our bed, and it's honestly not occurred to me until i saw some threads on hellobee. i'm going to wait--i don't feel like the lack of a pillow is adversely affecting him right now, so i don't feel a need to add one to the mix. however maybe it will change if his sleep becomes messed up and/or we transition him to a twin bed and a pillow would make it feel more "special".

I got DD a toddler pillow from Land of Nod when she was 19 months (about a month and a half ago). We decided to get her one because when she slept in our bed (usually from midnight until morning every night), she would make me move over so she could put her head on my pillow. Now she sleeps with her head on her pillow when she is in her crib for naps and for the first part of the night, and when she comes into our bed around midnight she makes us bring her pillow with her.

My son is 4 yo and still doesn't use a pillow. This is mostly because I cannot find a suitable toddler pillow, but I probably would have introduced one when we moved to his twin bed at 2.5 yo. He's just fine without it and is a great sleeper.

@Mrs. Carrot: My husband actually pushed to get him one because he felt he "should" have one and must have been less comfortable wihtout one.

My daughter is 28 months and has been sleeping with a pillow since she turned two. She has a big girl bed (queen size) and will not sleep without her pillow!

When we transitioned LO from cosleeping to crib at 17months we just put a small pillow in there along with her stuff animals to see if she would use it all. Some nights she tosses the pillow along with her blankets and dogs out of the crib before going to sleep. Other nights she positions her pillow just so then falls sleep. We have the little PBK pillow, can't think of the name but it works!

We gave DD a pillow between 2 and 2.5, can't remember exactly when. She all of a sudden was having awful sleep and we were desperate so tried it as sort of "look how comfy your bed is" type thing and it amazingly helped. She previously was a super active sleeper but now is way more still and keeps her head on the pillow all night. It also has helped with her constant daycare runny nose, she used to wake up really stuffy but sleeping with her head on the pillow helps her breath more through the night.

We just got a toddler pillow for Xander when he turned 2. Like your daughter, he's a belly sleeper and tends to be all over the place in his crib. But he LOVES his pillow and this morning I could see him on the video monitor moving it so he could lay his head on it still when he moved. Whether it was necessary or helps with anything, I have no idea. But he was really thrilled to get one.

My 21 month old is still in her crib, and we have no intention of moving her any time soon. She doesn't climb out, she seems comfortable, etc. My mom recently asked if we were going to get her a pillow, and even bought one herself to have at her house for when we visit (kid sleeps in a pack and play there). I don't have a huge need to give her a pillow, but when I started reading the Googles, the reviews seemed mixed on whether it could be helpful (neck/back support, etc) or unnecessary before a toddler bed transition. My daughter is an active sleeper - she moves around the crib all night, tucks blankets under herself all the time (though under her belly, not her head, which is supposedly a "readiness" sign for a pillow), and is a belly sleeper, which gives me a little concern about her burying her face in even a thin pillow. But she's nearing 2 and maybe it would help? I'm torn and would love all y'all's thoughts/experiences/etc.

Thanks!
