I think it looks cool. I wouldn't necessarily get one because it seems like a lot of money for something that is only used for a short amount of time. I feel that as long as they are supervised it would be safe.

I can definitely see the benefits for a colic or reflux baby just to get some relief. But the colic hold is just as good for that and free. Or pass baby off to your partner/in-law/nice neighbour so you don't throw yourself out the window from the crying :silly:

Looks like a rocking SIDs machine to me. Strapping a baby on their belly onto a device seems terrible. Though maybe a giant sized one would be great for naps for me!

I just watched the video and omg, that looks wonderful! That would have been a godsend if it was around when LO was an infant.

@Truth Bombs: yea that's what I figured about stuff like this! It's probably expensive and takes up a lot of space to only be used for very short periods of time.

Someone suggested this product to me when I was pregnant and I just laughed. You're not even supposed to let them sleep on it. This thing seems like a total racket.

From Their Website:

Can my baby sleep on the Babocush?

Do not let your baby sleep on the Babocush. Sleeping on their front can pose a suffocation risk and is thought to increase the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), according to the NHS Guidelines on SIDS. The babocush is intended to provide relief from colic and reflux, to help settle fractious babies and to provide tummy time in order to prevent flat-head syndrome and other associated problems. Never ever leave your baby unattended on the babocush. You will find your baby will be so content on the babocush that they may fall asleep. If this happens, please place your baby in their cot or crib to sleep.

If you’re feeling frazzled and worn out, the babocush can give you a short break to spend one on one time with the other children, eat dinner with both hands, drink a coffee while it’s still hot, go to the toilet or have a shower etc. (your baby can rest happily on the babocush in the room with you).

I've seen it too, and wondered what others think.

Were there any studies or anything saying it's safe? I mean, I'd think it's fine for monitored use, but not like overnight or anything. But, I don't really know.

i just saw this on facebook. it claims to be a "safe" belly sleeping option for babies. there were all kinds of very strong comments for it and against it. i was just curious if any of you had thoughts on it or if you would try it. //www.babocush.com/
