I only have one 3 year old and he is the same way...but I lose my mind almost daily. Friday was a really bad day for us but then the weekend was a break because he actually behaved! Some days are worse than others, I know. I hope the sticker charts work! I know I felt awful many times, but like you said, they can't get away with things and walk all over us later. The sticker reward chart worked great for us. We almost didn't go to one of the Fall festivals yesterday b/c my son didn't want to get out of bed and started to throw a tantrum with my husband. He LOVES this place and always has a great time when we go; but, obviously, doesn't remember how fun it was the last two years he's been there. I managed to slowly get him dressed by letting him pick his underwear which is a daily battle among other things. </p> <p>I think the 3s are THE worst, ever. I've been reading that the 4s will get better. I sure hope that will be true for us! We had plans to take the boys to a farmers market and then a train museum. All of it was a no go. The second we tried to get them ready the tantrums started. First going to the bathroom then putting clothes on. Everything was a battle. We gave up an decided not to go. Then there was tantrums because we told them we weren't going to go to see the trains. It continued all day. My husband and I were at our wits end trying to stay calm (which didn't happen all the time)</p> <p>A lot of people have told me that three is worse than two. When we were going through terrible two things I thought we weren't going to survive. How are we going to get through this? It makes me feel like I am constantly disciplining and an awful mom but I know can't let them get away with things because I want the to grow up to be respectful young men. </p> <p>Tomorrow we are starting sticker charts for getting ready so hopefully all the morning routine won't be so awful. Wish me luck! </p>
