Went straight to Diflucan, which helped a lot and quickly but didn't completely work despite taking it for 5 weeks. Tried vinegar rinse but couldn't tell if it helped. Switched to GSE drops mixed with coconut oil for nipples and oral GSE tablets and probiotics. It seems gone after 2 more weeks with these. </p> <p>Baby didn't have it at first. She ended up getting yeast diaper rash and nystatin did nothing for it. Your doctor can call it in. If you start to get painful symptoms just skip all the natural/OTC remedies and get a diflucan prescription (usually used fro yeast infections). I, unfortunately, only remember glimpses of no-thrush feeds. So, my doctor prescribed another cream. With DS, I got thrush but he never did... I had used nystatin I think on my nipples but the lactation consultant also recommended doing a vinegar wash. I think it was 1tbsp white vinegar with 1 cup water and then I used cotton balls to wipe my nipples.
