<description>&#60;p&#62;Last winter, we told DD that the loud crashes from avalanche controls was Santa landing on the roof to check up on her; we told her that flashes of light was Santa's flashlight shining in her window.  She was super into Santa at the time, so that explanation seemed to work for her.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;This week we had thunderstorms and, suprisingly, she remembered our explanation of avalanche controls and decided lighting/thunder were also Santa's checkup visits!  She got super disappointed when we reminded her that Christmas is still a long ways off.  :)&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;How do you explain thunder and lightning to your toddler/preschooler?
