You can use squeeze bottles for the dye. It uses a lot more dye that way, but it's much neater than the dip method. I haven't done the dip method at all, but using the bottles, its a lot easier to control the color and use multiples.

I watched a couple you tube videos on how to fold and tie. My son had a blast and we'll probably do it again this summer.

-Thick heavy duty elastic bands for people to put on the onesies
-disposable latex free gloves for dye sipping
-garbage bag, plastic sheet, shower curtain for under dye bowls and also for under where you will be drying the onesies
-scissors for the elastics
-little garbage can for elastics and gloves

Since it will be adults doing the dying it shouldn't be too messy. It's kind of fun to see what your pattern looks like so it would be nice to provide scissors so they can cut off the elastics and then hang them or lay the flat on a surface to dry.

Fun idea!

Any suggestions on doing tie dying at a baby shower? I'm organizing one for a friend but don't know the first thing about what to get (besides white onesies) and how to keep it from getting messy etc.
