I really need to get off my lazy butt and do something. LO is 5 months old now and I go back to work in January. Everyone who has had a baby in my office has come back from mat leave looking fabulous. I on the other hand can't fit into my clothes yet so I have a lot of work cut out for me. I'd love to ease into doing a bunch of Pilates videos.

@mrs. wagon: YAY!!! We can be buddies! ;-) I'm not planning on having another LO for a few years (DH has 4 years left in school, SAVE ME!) so I just want to prevent the mommy-softness like you mentioned. I was sedentary for years. Never had to work out, was naturally thin. Then I woke up one day and was like "HOLY SHIT! Where did this muffin top come from?!" and my double chin...ugh. Apparently I only gain weight in my belly/chin. Legs haven't changed much, neither have my arms. Anywhodiddle. I think that's an awesome idea with having your hubby set it up! I have major guilt when I say "I'm going to do my Jillian Michaels video" if I don't, so I just make my hub ask me if I'm going to do it and if I say yes I HAVE to keep my word. But there are nights that I'm like "Hells to the no I'm not doing that." and I sit down and have a cookie. :)

My new Brooks shoes have shipped and should be here Friday! I'll start jogging on the dreadmill again once they're here. For the time being I"m just being better about my food choices and am doing some light weights/ab workouts while I watch my shows in the evenings after J goes to bed. I don't think I can do early morning workouts, I just...ugh...4am is way too early and with our schedule I'd have to get up that early to be ready for work in time!

I'm with you!!! Only my situation is slightly different... I'm done having kids and I need to reclaim my body!! Quickly before I'm momma-soft forever!!! Unfortunately I have no time to be lazy with the toddler and the infant in the house, but as soon as LMW starts sleeping thru the night I know the laziness and bad eating habits will start again (as soon as I have time to myself again!). So we've decided to start cooking/eating healthy meals more, and 3 times a week we're going to work out. Going to the gym is not an option for us since we both work full time and have no babysitter at night, so we've worked out a plan: after the kids are in bed we're going to both get ready to work out, then Wagon Sr. will set up our xbox kinect for me (I have two games now: Dance Central and Zumba!) then as soon as I've started he'll go out for his run. I won't stop kinect-ing until he's back from his run. This way I'm still in the house while the kids are sleeping but we both get a major cardio workout in.

I really really hope this works. I know Wagon Sr. will be motivated to run (he's one of those people who gets addicted to running once he starts up) but I'm SO lazy. Which is why he has to set up the kinect for me. If it's on and ready, I know I'll do it, but if I have to get it all set up I won't!!

Hard boiled eggs for snacking is a great idea!! I'm going to do this too, maybe every Sunday night while laundry is going. Protein first thing in the morning will also help curb carb and sugar cravings thru the day. My morning protein of choice is Fage greek yogurt with honey.

I'm 4.5 months pp and i started slowly with lots of walks, I 'banned' myself from using the car (except when going longer distances). Then I ordered a flash new pair of running shoes, loaded some tracks onto my phone and now I'm doing 5k a couple of times a week alongside walking.

And I found in the last month I'm less hungry, before then I had a huge appetite but it seems to have stabilised now, I'm actually eating less every day. Also made sure I have healthy snacks at home, cottage cheese with fresh fruit and nuts is my favourite.

@autumnlove: Thanks!!! I had the 30 Day Shred video but a friend of mine borrowed it and lost it :( I think I can remember most of the exercises, I just won't push myself as hard as I should haha! The two I have still are 10 min solution blast off belly fat and slim&sculpt pilates. I got those for free from a co-worker but they're not as intense at Jillian's crazy ass...

I have been one lazy beast since I had J. Eating what I want, sitting on the couch all day, super lazy town. Well we just booked our flights to the Bahamas for March and I have a lot of work to do before I feel beach-ready!!!

What are the things you do to keep healthy? This week I'll be:
Drinking more water
Taking my vitamins
Walking 30 min/day and doing a workout video twice a week
Eating better
Packing snacks for work ahead of time
Made a batch of smoothies for the week and froze them
Made hard boiled eggs for snack

What tips do you have?! Today was like mardi gras. I went nuts. Pizza and cookie dough LOL!
