I called in because I knew I was supposed to (at the time I think I was 33ish weeks?), but I didn't go in because I knew it would be pointless. I was not dilated even a tiny bit. I felt embarrassed that he had told all his coworkers it was "baby day" and it wasn't! The last two weeks was just like that for me. One time they were even pretty painful and we called in laws to tell them it was go time. They booked a flight and were packing and then the contractions stopped. I was always told just to take it easy and not worry as long as they weren't significantly painful or accompanied by obvious signs of labor like water breaking. Then I went into labor early and didn't take it seriously because I'd been dismissed so many times. They might have been able to stop it if I'd gone in the night before when I was in (what I now know was) early labor. So...
