I presumably will get my period between December 12th - 16th (roughly). I haven't been charting (since I'm on the pill), so I don't know when I will ovulate. If I get my period around the 12th, I'm guessing I'd ovulate sometime in the December 26th - 31st range, which could mean I'll miss it if I'm in Vegas when I do.</p> <p>I read somewhere that you don't really share a blood supply with the fetus for the first 6 weeks or so, so drinking during the 2WW wouldn't endanger my child. What day is your period supposed to start in Dec?</p> <p>I would say if you are going to be the type of person who is worried about consuming a single drop of alcohol while in the 2WW, then stay on the pills for another month. The goal has been to start in January, mainly because I'm going to Vegas in December. Here's my problem:</p> <p>I'm currently on week 2 of my BCP. Which means I'll go through this package and the next package and that will bring me to the week of December 19th as my first week of no pills (and period should be over by then). In a perfect world, this is when I'd start TTC! BUT, I'm going to Vegas December 30th - January 2nd for my friend's 30th birthday. These are my options:</p> <p>(1) Take a third package of BCP to get me to the week of January 16th.</p> <p>(2) Take some extra BCP at the end of December so that I can hopefully start TTC when I get back from Vegas on January 3rd.</p> <p>(3) Start TTC before going to Vegas.</p> <p>I'm thinking option 3 is out because the whole reason we were waiting until January 2012 (and we've been waiting for an entire YEAR) was because of this Vegas trip. If we start trying before Vegas, that means we could've started trying months ago, which would just depress me, haha. Plus I don't want to be sick or not be able to enjoy Vegas OR take away from my friend's birthday.</p> <p>I was leaning towards (2) as my best option to get pregnant immediately after Vegas, but if I ovulate early in my cycle, then I'd miss my opportunity and would have to wait another month.</p> <p>So I'm thinking that, while (1) pushes me back two weeks, it's probably my best chance at getting pregnant as soon as possible in January.</p> <p>What do you guys think? And am I putting WAAAAAAY too much thought into this? </p>
