@PermaStudent: I'm 28 weeks.

They'll possibly do an MRI which I really, really don't want while I'm pregnant. My blood pressure was a little bit elevated today too so my doctor thinks the two issues are related.

My husband got Bell's palsy last year. It kind of comes on suddenly and half your face is paralysis. This doesn't sound like it but maybe it's different for pregnant women?

It cleared up after a month and he's perfectly fine now.

So in case anyone else searches this, my OB wants me to see a neurologist to find out if it's normal. She said there might be swelling in my brain (swelling from pregnancy) that's pressing against a facial nerve. Awesome.

@HLK208: Bell's palsy is more common in pregnant women and tingling/numbness can be a warning sign that something is up with the nerves in that area; hopefully your Dr. can help you figure it out.

ETA: Arm/hand tingling and numbness is generally related to swelling around the brachial plexus or the carpal tunnel, so not directly related, but a similar issue.

How long has it been going on? I don't really have any ideas but I don't think that the baby's position could affect your facial nerves.

Has anyone had this? I feel tingling in my face all the time. My blood sugar is fine, my blood pressure is fine (I take both at home) and nothing else is tingly or numb. I'm guessing the baby is sitting on a nerve? Or something to do with circulation? Google didn't give me many answers other than high anxiety or Bell's Palsy.

I'm seeing my OB tomorrow morning but just wondering if anyone has experience with it.
