Thanks guys. I hadn't thought of just putting him down and walking away. Will try that tomorrow! He almost bit another baby at play group today! :meh:

So sorry - biting is the worst!!

I would immediately put him down and/or walk away from him, so he gets immediate feedback that biting isn't acceptable.

I tell him 'No' gently but firmly. If he does it again, I say 'No' again, and place him down on the floor away from me. He is a little upset at being placed away from me, but he gets over it v quickly. Now at 11mo he rarely does it - but I am now having to use the same technique to try and teach him not to hit and scratch me!

ouch! I'm sorry lady :( My 10 month old has 5, almost 6 and she occasionally bites me and it HURTS. She bit me on the back of my thigh yesterday! I'm not sure what to do other than say "No! That hurts Mommy. No biting." And give her something she CAN bite, like Sophie or a teething toy. Interested to hear what others say.

DS is almost 9 months old. He has 7 teeth. He bites me hard probably about 20 times a day. I am at a loss for what to do.

Not willing to bite him back, haha.

Any tips for a young baby that enjoys biting?
