@wonderstruck: I had a terrible week of pumping almost nothing. It was devastating.... Like one ounce after not nursing all night. I didn't feel empty but also didn't really feel like the pump wasn't working? I emailed Medela to find out where I could get smaller Breast shields to see if that helped (I had larger but local stores didn't carry the small ones) and the person who responded sent me a link but also said if I thought it was a problem with my pump to call customer service. I hadn't even considered that but I was desperate so tried it. And immediately went back to pumping 4 oz at a time. It was insane!!

@tarabonno: How did you end up figuring out it had come loose? I have this pump and am curious.

For the past week I've had a major dip in pumping output and couldn't figure out why. I have been taking Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle, added pumping sessions, and anything else I could think of. I figured out it wasn't a supply issue because DD could nurse and was happy - finally got a tip that it might actually be my PUMP.

Anyway, I called Medela's customer service line today and after troubleshooting we figured out that the faceplate had come loose on one of the three key points where it needs to snap. Instantly went from pumping one ounce to 4.5 ounces with that snap.

Wanted to throw this out there in case anyone else ever finds themselves with the same problem!
