i have to stay in the room with her till she falls asleep so late bedtimes drive me crazy. We talk about all the fun things we can do tomorrow but tomorrow won't come until we go to sleep. So we talk about the fun things, she gets quiet, talks about it some more, gets quiet and then I'll say, no more talking now. Bedtime or tomorrow won't come. And then she's asleep.

problem is, during the week daytime is not considered "fun" for her so I have to get creative like .... we can give the princesses a bath tomorrow since it's bath day! Or We'll make chocolate pudding tomorrow. Or, I'll let you pick whatever clothes & shoes you want to wear tomorrow.

Don't really know any great tricks. We just try to stick to our routine! I just keep hoping it'll pass soon, haha. It's definitely tough sometimes, especially because I get up really early several days a week and need to go to bed early too!

We have the same rule for our kiddo, lay in your bed quietly. The bedtime process is extended to about 40 minutes (and that doesn't including bathing!). We use the bathroom, brush teeth and put on pajamas. Followed by a couple of books and snuggles. It's crazy to me that this process takes this long.

She also knows that her bedtime is eight zero zero. So when she sees that on our oven clock we head up stairs and get started. I'm thinking about putting a digital clock in her room and setting another "time" like eight three zero is when I'm leaving and you need to lay quietly.

My 4 yr old loves to fight bedtime - not really a trick but the rule is "you don't have to go to sleep but you have stay in bed"

Some nights she is laying in bed talking to herself and her dolls until 9:30 -

I go to bed early myself (9:30) so there is no way my kid is staying up later than me

I am in your same shoes!!! Toddler (21 months) - she is tantruming as soon as we begin to bring her upstairs for bed ! Last night's was epic... Then when we turn off lights once she's calmed down: another tantrum. No advice but will follow this!

Rcently, our kids have been going to bed so late! We've been working to move bedtime up, but it's a slow process and affecting my sanity. Last night my daughter went down around 9:45, which was sadly an improvement over the night before last (11 pm).

Any tips and tricks for when your kids are fighting bedtime?
