i'm assuming you are going to split it up 7.5 hrs per day? we did a 6 hr drive this past weekend, LO is 9 months and EBF. not a big fan of bottles either. she takes 2 hour naps at a time in the car, and then fusses and cries when she is awake and bored. so we stop and nurse, let her have her freedom in the car at the rest stop...get out to have lunch, and then back in the car. she is usually content once we are on the road again and then conks out. another 1.5 hour nap and wakes up and she gets bored, starts crying. when we don't stop, we sing her favorites songs loudly and clap (wheels on the bus) and if that doesn't work, we give her her favorite toy at the moment (the baby einstein musical tunes thing with the lights) and i sit in the back and play with her. good luck!

Our longest trip was 12 hours and we drove through the night. Best. Decision. Ever.

eep! My LO is just 8 months so I'm trying to think of what helps us... music CDs, crinkle/fabric books. rotating toys, snacks, crawl breaks. Last car trip he refused to fall asleep unless we sang (at home he falls asleep on his own just fine). Hope you have an easy trip and move!!

Hi all!

We're moving in a week and have a 15 hour drive from Seattle, WA to Montetey, CA. Our daughter is almost 8 months old and won't take a bottle...going to be lots of pitstops for nursing breaks! We are hoping to do the journey in two days and only stay overnight in a hotel the first night.

Anybody go through this before or have any tips for us? :)
