@edelweiss: Yeah, luckily her head strength is good enough now that we can basically carry her everywhere, so we might just do that and stay in the shade so she doesn't get too much sun.

@Smurfette: Good idea! I think I'm going to run to Target tonight to get a hat and I'll see if they have them.

Luckily there is a parking garage a block away from the festival where we will be parking... so I'm going to pack my stroller, both carriers, and extra water/cold facecloths *just in case* and I can run to get them if needed.

Dress her in very light cotton onesie and shorts that should help and then you should wear something light cotton too so your body traps less heat

Could you buy one of those hand held battery operated fans so you can put it on her if you think she is getting hot?

we bought a boba air carrier earlier this summer because of the hot weather. but since you have it coming up this weekend, maybe just take LO out of the carrier frequently and carry her by hand?

Probably not the right board for this, but oh well! We have an Ergo and an Infantino Mei Tai carrier. We'd like to take LO to an outdoor wine festival this weekend in our town, but it's going to be about 90 degrees all day. She's getting used to the heat because her daycare takes her out in it a few times a day, but I'm worried that being in the carrier she may get too hot. I'm thinking the Infantino might be cooler, but I dunno!

Any tips on how to keep her cool? We can go get her a hat, but that'll only stop the bright light!

ETA: I'd love to just plop her in a stroller with a shade, but this festival is usually realllly crowded, and I don't think I could wheel her around!
