I doubt your young LO will have trouble being entertained. In my (somewhat limited) experience, there are lot of lights, sounds, music, etc going almost at all times during these kids events, which are usually enough to keep pretty much everyone entertained.

When we went to Sesame Street Live LO didn’t walk yet so she couldn’t escape from me, but most kids were up and standing and dancing a lot. Lots tried to rush the stage and there was a “security guard” there on toddler-control-duty. Hilarious.

During the breaks in action for that one, my LO was pretty entertained with the music they played, the house lights, all the other kids around (people watching), and eating massive amounts of popcorn. I also let her get a light-up toy before the show, so that kept her attention.

Have fun!

@regberadaisy: me either! Our friends went and said the little guys were all over the place and it was fine. Everyone stands up and kids go in the aisle! Have fun! Let us know how it goes. LO is 21 months and I'm not sure how he would do either. He never sits down!

@psw27: we've never been to a live kids show so I have no idea what to expect besides what I've read on here. DD2 will sit still for 5 minutes, max!

I'm sure that LO will be pretty interested in what's going on? Plus I've heard at most of these shows (Sesame Street live, etc.) none of the kids stay in their seats - they are all running around and dancing.

We're taking our 4 yo to Daniel Tiger Live tonight. Any tips for keeping the younger one entertained? She's 20 months old and is not into screen time. so the chances of her sitting still is zero to nil. I've brought a few "quiet" toys and DH and I are expecting to alternate getting up with her.

This is a big surprise for DD1 so mostly I don't want a fussy tantruming toddler to ruin it for her! LOL

Also, anyone remember how long the whole thing was?
