It definitely takes longer but it's 2-for-1 entertaining DS and getting chores done. In the kitchen, I will let him do as much as he wants, including cooking at the stove. This began this year and I trust him completely, he understands he is not to touch the stove without me there and he knows it gets hot.</p> <p>As for other chores, he also vacuums and helps my husband with the leaves and lawn chores. She cracks and whisks raw eggs, cut veggies, dumps ingredients. I do not let her near the hot stove. She loves to help put laundry in the wash and dryer. She can fold washcloths, towels, put away laundry. She helps to feed the dog. She loves to get forks and napkins and set the table. If she's having a meltdown, she will come out of it if I ask her to help me with something. Tonight I found our wok doesn't get hot on the outside so I let her add all of the ingredients to it for our rice. She also cracked and whisked the eggs, measured the peas and helped me cut the pork. </p>
