I would say plan on doing laundry every 3 days. So bring 2 pjs, 4-6 sets of play clothes (onesies and pants), and maybe 2-3 nicer outfits? Maybe a few extra back up pieces?

I usually bring one nice blanket and one burp cloth and one bib. We also pack a little backpack of toys for her too.

For sure bring a GOOD sunhat (one that has SPF in it). Even walking around outside can burn a baby.

If you are with family, we found that bouncers never get used because there are always extra hands to hold a baby.

I would either ship diapers there or have someone run out and get diapers from WalMart down there.

I always do a big order from diapers.com and send it ahead when we go and visit my parents. I usually use it as a time to stock up on items that we need, like the next size of sleepsacks. I also bought a bottle warmer and some of those microwaveable sterilizing bags by Medela. I always arrange to borrow the bigger stuff, like a bouncer or exersaucer.

I usually bring the bare minimum with me, I figure I can always buy more of whatever we need. The only exception is when I travel to more remote areas, then I pack the entire apartment!

make sure to nurse or feed her or give her a pacifier during takeoff and landing so the air pressure doesn't hurt her. if she has a lovey or swaddle that you use regularly make sure to bring those things - the familiar sights/smells should help her sleep better at night even in a new environment.

don't pack things that you can easily buy! yes pack enough diapers for a day, but once you're there you can easily pick some up.

you guys will do great!

Don't bring the bouncy chair--all the extra family will play with LO--you don't need any "entertainment" :D

I havent travelled with my LO but I would rather over pack than underpack, because right not at 3months old somce days she goes through several changes because she spat up or had a poopie diaper explode and mess up her clothes.

Well we were away for 9 days (car trip though)
and we had way too much stuff.
I think you need 6 outfits, 2 sleeping outfits, 3 swaddling cloths, 1 sunhat, 1 warm hat, 1 thing to sleep on (we have a travel bassinet that folds up and I think it would fit under the airplane seat). 1 diaper bag
2 pacifiers, 1 carseat, 1 toy that can pass for a blanket, diaper rash cream, bdiapers and wipes can be purchased there if you run out
portable "changing station" (we used a placemat and big tub of wipes
We didn't need the baby towel (I showered with LO and used my towel to dry him first)
Didn't need: Extra bottles/formula/pump (I breastfeed and pump every so often), bath soap (just used water), baby lotion (never used it), sunglasses (LO is too young for them)

We brought too much clothes, too many blankets, and a few bibs even though we don't use bibs at home yet.

ETA: Brought 3 mini burp cloths and a baby carrier and NO STROLLER (took up too much space)

The three of us are going to be flying to Pensacola, FL in late August to visit my husband's parents. We are going to be there for 12 days with a 2 1/2 month old baby.

Any tips on what we should take with us to make sure it's as comfortable of an experience as possible? We are flying and planning on taking her carseat, the snap-n-go stroller, my pump and all of her bottles, nipples, pacifiers and other feeding gear.

We are staying with his parents so we have a washer and dryer and a dishwasher available.

How many onesies/sleepers should we take with us? How many blankets and burp cloths? Should we take diapers with us or have some shipped from Amazon? Hats? socks? Should we take her bouncy chair? Yikes!

Ugh, writing all of this out makes me super nervous about the trip! Yes, there is a Walmart in Pensacola but I like to be a good girl scout and always be prepared!
