@sunny: In addition to a TJ's shopping trip to stock up you could also make some food and freeze it in individual containers...then have DH be able to easily bring you some home cooked meals?

@lilyofthewest: It depends! My hospital's antepartum wing had pretty nice Tempurpedic mattresses. But the pillows suck.

I'll be visiting you too! My step-grandma always gets me a People Magazine subscription, I'll stockpile some and bring them! I second Sandy's puzzle suggestion, and definitely Netflix series. Do the adult coloring books like Bao suggested! I thought they looked intimidating too, but they're actually really fun and relaxing-- I like the Fiskars gel pens for them 😘

Hospital mattresses are sad. Very sad. A memory foam (or even just foam eggcrate) topper, your own pillow, and a pregnancy body pillow will improve your quality of life a lot.

I was on home rest, but having a "routine" to my day really helped. Showering at same time, checking emails, making phone calls, having designated TV time and visitors. I was able to work from home some and that helped a lot too. I have a good book to read if you wall me your address : ) :goodluck:

@sunny: you already know I'll be visiting you while you're in the hospital so just let me know if you think of anything you need and I can bring it it you!

Do you like doing puzzles? I believe there's a puzzle tray you can buy to do puzzles if you don't have a large table available. I can bring you some puzzles if you want!

I had several things for C to play with when she visited me. Like some coloring and sticker activity books, some puzzles and small toys. I also had snacks for her in my room for when she visited.

Bring whatever will make you feel more at home - slippers, quilt, pillows, etc.

All your favorite snacks. But for me I didn't have much of an appetite bc all I was doing was laying around. So maybe stock up at home and have it packed up for your DH to bring to you.

I brought my own tea that I liked and honey

A robe

Also, email/text Michelle bc she was on extended bedrest with her LO too (I think a little over a month). I bet she will have some good ideas!

Love you :heart:

earplugs. sleeping mask. white noise machine.

full size bottles of your toiletries. little dinky travel sizes make me sad.

maybe a small portable bluetooth speaker

comfortable robe

your own giant water bottle

body or pregnancy pillow

Flip flops and/or slippers for getting around your room, assuming you'll be able to get up to the bathroom.

Lotion and hand cream, as previously posted, hospitals are so dry!

Your own pillow, pillow case and blanket.

Fresh fruit and vegetables to snack on, a friend brought me a huge container of fresh fruit after I had my LO, it tasted so good!

@Mrs Green Grass: Wall calendar is a great idea! Adding to my packing list. I'll have to see what kind of container/carts we have at home that I can use/repurpose, but that's also a great idea.

@MrsSRS: Oh yes... I'll definitely be bringing snacks and asking my husband to be bringing fresh fruit. I should probably go to TJ's and stock up on my faves this week.

@Bao: I checked out some coloring books at the store but they look so intimidating! Netflix is already a given ;-)

@agold: Yes! I am already telling my friends and I've been telling them that I'm going to FaceTime them too :-)

@math.nerd: Humidifier is a great idea. I will definitely ask about that.

@blackbird: I don't know how to quilt :-( But I do have some felting and hand sewing Christmas projects to work on. I am going to be SO READY for Christmas 2016 :wink:

My packing list so far:
* Clothing, toiletries, makeup
* Dorm style tote/container for toiletries
* Baby wipes
* Clorox wipes
* Tissue/TP from home
* Calendar
* Blank Cards
* Towel from home
* Hand lotion and lip balm
* Blow dryer
* Snacks

Humidifier!!! (Just be sure to check with the hospital staff first before you plug anything in). Books, DVDs and a way to watch them, something pretty to look at.

I took up cross stitch while I was on bedrest in the hospital. I loved the nurses and my doctor so I ended up making them little gifts while I was there.

Something comfy from home - I have a favorite pillow that I bring with me everywhere and I brought a small blanket that I like. It's nice to have things of your own.

And don't forget your chargers!! Phone, laptop, e-Reader - whatever!

Good luck! You can do it!!!!
