Naps are strange here still, but the only way I've got them longer is to keep him up longer in between. This morning he was up for 4.5 hours and then napped for an hour and 15 mins. This aft he was only up for 2.75 hours so only napped 30 mins.

I used to try and put LO back to sleep, I would go in and stroke his head, shh him and rub his back - very often I could get him back to sleep and then he'd do at least another 45 mins. Over time he stopped waking and started napping 2ish hours in the pm. I did start this at about 5 months though, it would never work now at 11 months. Also I don't have any other LOs so could spare 20 mins shhing in the dark!

I'm not even sure if this is possible, but is there a way to get LO to nap longer? She is 8 months old and takes a 45 minute morning nap, which is normal but her afternoon nap is barely an hour. So then by 5:00/5:30 she is miserable and overtired and I'm lucky if I can keep her up until 6:00pm. I'm hoping if there is some way to adjust her nap schedules, or extend her afternoon nap that we can get on a better sleeping schedule. Any tips?
