She would only last a couple of hours before she was over it. We had sand toys, snacks, water and her puddle jumper. Her favorite thing really was to walk along the water edge with her Dad looking for shells. Wouldn't even let us put him down. The only way he would play with the sand toys is if he sat on a beach chair. He loves the water normally but I think the fact that it was so big scared him. Just a thought as it surprised me. It's just very exhausting for him, though he loooves it so much. I think attempting a nap on the way home is the way to go. We're in TX, so it's super hot and humid (but cooler at the beach). We plan bringing a tent, chairs, cooler w/ snacks and drinks and beach toys. Our 2.5 yr old still needs one nap, so we're trying to figure out if we should attempt it there or on the way home. </p> <p>What are some tips you have for surviving and making it fun? </p>
