A baby needs to eat too! I honestly wouldn't let anyone tell me I can't nurse on the plane. Familiarize yourself with tour breastfeeding rights just in case. I know here in MN a woman can breastfeed anywhere in public without covering up legally.<br /> I've heard the same thing, feed during takeoff/landing. So as soon as I got to the airport, I checked in my luggage. Then I took the stroller, baby carrier, and one backpack with me to the gate. Gate checked the stroller and all I brought on the plane was the baby in a carrier and the backpack. The less you carry on the plane, the better, IMO.</p> <p>If the plane isn't full, you might be able to put baby in his/her infant carseat in an empty seat beside you... Check with the staff at the gate before boarding.</p> <p>At 2 months your baby will likely just nurse/feed and sleep most of the time. Any older, and I'd advise bringing toys, especially new toys for distraction and to keep them busy. I guess a toy or two wouldn't be a bad idea though, just in case. (I figured we weren't going out a lot so packed really light for myself). I ordered a convertible car seat and shipped it over to my parents' house and had them buy diapers for me. I strapped LO into my Ergo and just asked for a lot of help. Had the other passengers/flight attendants help put my carry on in the overhead, asked a guy to help me take it out. They don't run away from you or feel the need to move constantly! </p> <p>My advice is to pack one suitcase and check it, carry on your diaper bag and the biggest purse you can find. Also, take your stroller (or car seat/stroller combo) through security and gate check it at the gate.
