@MaisyMay: thanks -- yeah, I am guilty of eating WAY too many carbs lately, which is basically sugar, so I should try to cut back. I don't usually eat or drink anything sugary, no sweet tooth here.

thanks @highwire: I didn't think about the hydration thing -- although I drink so much as it is (hence the too much peeing!)...

yeah - i used to get these a lot, but found out I had celiac and after going gluten free the YI's pretty much cleared up - it was crazy... I thought I was done! I used to take Diflucan - but I don't feel safe taking it pregnant so I'm not sure how to treat since the monistat is so irritating :(

Lots of fluid to flush out as much yeast as possible, cut back on sugar to delay the yeast growth. Not much else to suggest. Sorry!

Stay hydrated! That's my best advice. Cranberry juice too, if you want (but that might just be for UTIs)

I'm so sorry. Yeast infections are so uncomfortable. I had a year's span where I was plagued with them, UTIs and another vaginal infection because I was working out all the time, dieting, having too much sex, and not staying hydrated. It was nuts.

hi - my most annoying pregnancy side effect has definitely been dealing with yeast infection issues. I'm 27 weeks now.

UGHH. I had one a couple months ago that was typical - treated it with a 3-day treatment. Then about a month later I thought it returned, started a 7-day treatment which led to some scary bleeding, I went in, and everything was fine & they told me to stop using the 7-day monistat.

I've been trying to eat tons of yogurt, I always wear cotton underwear, etc etc...

But now today - I wake up and am feeling some itchiness - NO discharge at all today - none, i feel really dry - and typically I've had a lot of discharge since getting preggo anyway.... so I used a little external monistat this morning, have been feeling "uncomfortable' down there --- and noticed some brown spotting this afternoon.

I'm sure it is related to the irritation I am feeling -- the baby is moving around a ton, so I'm not too worried about him.

But - my question - What can I do?!?! Dr's office is closed, I will call in the morning.... I can't use the monistat since it irritates me, perhaps even the external cream caused some irritation today? Although the spotting is brown & very scant, so I feel like the cream may not have caused the spotting so quickly. Whats weird is I felt fine yesterday, and all of a sudden today....

Anyway - any reco's? I'm hoping my Doc can recommend something tomorrow - like a cream or something. Not sure if it's yeast because I have zero discharge.

I did have to pee about 8,000 times yesterday & today - I wonder if wiping so much caused some irritation? Since getting pregnant I feel like I have an UBER-Sensitive "Queen Victoria"

Woah - sorry -- very long, and THANKS in advance.
