I gotta say, this thread combines my two favorite things... sex, and TMI gore. LOL.

Thanks for all your comments, ladies... definitely helps to hear that others do feel and look different... and others look and feel the same! I'm eagerly looking forward to my 6 week postpartum visit... and so is Wagon Sr. ;)

I don't see a difference in appearance after having two kids. After my 1st, it felt tighter from the stitches. About half way through my 2nd pregnancy, DH said it started feeling looser (and it definitely looked weird). Right now, at 11 weeks pp, sex feels normal again BUT I'm drier now and we always have to use lube. Maybe that's because I'm breastfeeding though.

first time having sex PP I was so sore but things felt looser, less sensitive at the same time.
I didn't tear so no stitches and I only pushed for 15 minutes and its my first baby
Now that LO is 4 months old things are better and feeling has returned. Haven't been too adventurous with positions but good old missionary has been treating us well.
Hubby says I don't feel any different to him (yup, he'd tell me) then again, maybe its just been so long he doesn't remember what i used to feel like lol

@mrs. wagon: bahaha I love the first line.. actually idk if @Mr. Coco Bee would read this thread. After the weekend (when he was all obsessed with posting), he said, "man... I can't keep up with this!" lol it was so funny. He sees me as competition and if he can't make 50+ posts in a day he gets discouraged lol. so funny.

well... hmm.. there are some things that are different, some that aren't.

This is really gross, but it totally has a different smell than before I was pregnant lol. I don't like it at all, kinda nasty.

Sex is ok, still a little sore, but I think we'll get there.

Birth really screwed up my backside, I had hems off and on and that's not fun.

Also, since DS's head was engaged very low since 20 weeks, I got stretch marks down there and that's not cool - especially since it makes shaving a little rough.

Otherwise appearance-wise, I'm not sure I see a difference..

well things feel looser.
I pushed for 4.5 hours and finally needed the help of a vacuum... i also had a 3rd degree tear and stitches.
I do have to say things are waaaaaay better and easier to let go - for lack of a better word ;-). No complaints here. & DH says I am a different woman in bed as well.. for the better,

I had over 30 stitches and 3rd degree tears from pushing out a posterior baby....and things went back to normal quickly! We DTD at six weeks post partum and I think I was actually tighter. Now at 15 weeks I pretty much look and feel how I used to!

Well I guess I'm different....

I had a total of 32 stitches. This obviously had me terrified that I would end up with monster vagina. I had an episiotomy and I also had a tear. I am 13wks pp and I am pleasantly surprised to say my vagina looks exactly the way it used to (I took pics of it pre and post lol). Not only does it look the same, but DH claims it also feels the exact same. We're super honest with each other as well. My baby was big to at 8lbs 15oz

I was also afraid to have sex, but we tried right at 6wks and based on my experience, I wouldn't put it off. It hurt the first few times and no one finished through intercourse, but the warm up made the 5th time very easy. By the 8th time I was back to having multiple orgasms and can do all positions but one very comfortably, I would be afraid waiting too long, would have made my experience worse.

So ladies who haven't delivered do not freak!

I'm not a hand mirror gal, so I'm not sure how things look different, but 4 months PP I'm good as new, and maybe better. Possibly tighter from the stitches and scar tissue...at first I thought I would never be able to DTD again due to the size.
This is possibly the worst part: ever since delivery it is really easy for air to get trapped in there and, well, you know what happens when the air comes out. This continues to be a problem for me with yoga, but I fixed it by wearing a tampon to yoga, which I feel yucky about....that is my worst PP 'down there' issue now.

I pushed for 2 hours and had 3rd degree tears. Things definitely got looser. (i know this because DH and I are very honest with each other!) everything feels the same to me, but it's different for him. LO is 16 months old, but it's never going to go back to what it used to be. Post baby is our new normal!
HAHA. I'm hoping baby 2's delivery is easier since LO loosened things up for him! :P

@MrsWagon: I have never read anything about favorite positions changing, which would seriously be a bummer . . . But on the other hand, it would be a great *reason* to find a new favorite!

@SorryCharlie: Yeah, I am right there with you doll! I am really trying to take this one day at a time, but with under 2 weeks to go, I keep thinking *seriously, why didn't anyone tell me about any of this!* :P

@mrs. wagon: With DS I had to attend Physical Therepy for about 6 months PP. My vagina wall muscels seperated during delivery. After getting everything back to "normal" I think it's all pretty much the same. I can't do certain position during sex because it hurts but besides that it's still the same tightness and such.

I'm 33 weeks with LO #2 and I'm hoping it all goes back to normal again.

Hehe... now that we have 2 actively posting dads (and several lurkers, I'm sure!!) I'm totally going to use a "TMI" in front of threads like this :D

Just wondering how different you were after recovering from delivery "down there"? After my first delivery, everything pretty much went back to EXACTLY the same, maybe even tighter, because intercourse was painful for quite a while. Things shifted, too, because my favorite position from before was no longer fun :( but for the most part, I could confidently say that childbirth didn't change me physically very much.

This time around, though, I've been looking in a hand mirror and things look... different. I'm not yet 6 weeks postpartum yet so I can't speak to the intercourse part yet, but I definitely feel and look different down there. This shocked me because I thought my first delivery would be more physically traumatic in the long run because of the size of his head and the fact that I pushed for 3 hours. This time around her head was much smaller and I pushed her out, no problem, in 15 minutes!
