We got it mainly because LO was starting to develop a flat head and we wanted to keep him off his head as much as possible during waking hours. It's been good though we don't use it a ton - probably like 30 mins a day total. My LO sits in one at daycare and watches kids. He's gotten to the point where he likes sitting more than laying on his back on his play gym, so the Bumbo helps.
