I find that, if you're looking for a Thanksgiving meal, nothing compares to home cooking. Eating out never really captures our meal for me!

I didn't realize how pregnant you'll be on Thanksgiving when I voted! I second Mrs. Bee's idea to have it catered or order everything to pick up. That way you can have a homey holiday but not have to deal with the prep and mess.

We'd probably cook, but not go crazy with it. A little turkey, a few potatoes worth of mashed potatoes, a can of cranberry sauce...done.

I love to cook and am super bummed that we won't be able to make it to my family's Thanksgiving. However, DS will only be about 1-2 weeks at that point and I don't want to bring him around that many people. We may be totally foolish but DH and I plan on making our own big dinner.

I love to cook. I loved to cook more when I pregnant because I could more control what was in my food. That being said I would say do whatever makes you most comfortable. I would just play it by ear until closer to the date. Hope you have a great holiday.

I have not ever eaten out on Thanksgiving or any other holiday, I'm super sentimental about holidays. Even when it was just DH and I for Easter last year, I made a ham and all the fixings.

if I were you and P won't cook it I would probably go out. It's just the 3 of us this year and we're still doing the whole shebang. If I was as pregnant as you we still would bc my husband does the bird.

My fam always orders a traditional type meal from a market like a whole foods, new seasons, etc. It's amazing food and all you have to do is heat it up, and they will scale the portions to however many people you want! I highly recommend :)

I would cook a smaller meal. i would do a turkey breast (boneless, which takes about 45 minutes in the oven) and a fresh salad, some fresh bread, some potatoes au gratin, a vegetable, and a dessert. And most everything could be made the day before.

I am cooking for the 3 of us. We went to a resto last year and it was so depressing. It was this motley crew of people. It just made me sad to have no family so I would just rather stay home.

If everyone was going out of town for thanksgiving (except your family of 3) would you cook or eat out?

I made a reservation at a restaurant that does thanksgiving dinner (44 bucks a person).
Or I could just buy a small bird and make our favorite sides for probably less.

What would you do?
