@dc yoga bee: @Foodnerd81: Thanks for the input, ladies! I'm pumping now. A compromise--pumping for a little less time than usual. :)

Since you are worried about it, I'd probably keep pumping until this period ends then stop.

But my period didn't come back until we dropped to one session a day and It didn't seem to affect my supply. But LO was 20 months at the time so I wasn't too worried about supply or how long we would continue, I knew she was almost done.

I would pump to hold onto your supply a bit longer, as you want to continue with the morning nursing session! Good luck!

Any ideas? Think it's worth pumping tonight (and maybe all this week? or should I just give it up?

Here's the thing. I thought I was done pumping but then my period started today and I'm afraid it's going to kill my supply.

LO is a year old and we still nurse in the morning. She gets a bottle of pumped milk before bed. I had tapered down my work pumps until she turned a year old. I was home with her the week between Christmas and the new year, and so when I went back to work on the 4th I dropped my last pumping session at work. So by that point, I was only nursing in the AM and pumping right before bed.

Last night, I dropped the nighttime pump for the first time. If you were me....would you pump tonight or just be done with it? I had made up my mind to be done but now I'm afraid my period is going to zap my supply. This is only my 3rd postpartum AF and they've each made my supply go down. I want her to keep nursing in the morning for as long as she wants to. Help me decide!
