LO dropped the middle of the night feed between 2-3 months. Now, If she wakes up in the middle of the night its because she's sick or teething.

By STTN, I assume you mean ALL night.

My son is down to 1 and sometimes goes all night. I don't plan to let him CIO at this point, but I have been ignoring him unless he persists for 15 minutes. That usually stretches him out another few hours. I'm hoping he'll drop the last feed on his own. He's 6 months. He usually sleeps 7-8 hours, eats and then sleeps for like 3 more.

DD dropped her night feeds from 2.5-3.5 months, then went through her 4 month sleep regression. By the time we got through 4-5 wakings for a few weeks for that, she was and still is holding on to one night nurse session. She's 9.5 months and I am giving her time to drop it on her own. Some nights she's guzzling and some she's just grazing so I'm confused if I should actively wean or continue going with the flow. Oh how I miss sleeping uninterrupted!!! She slept 730-6 for two nights this week and it was heaven.

My DD starting sleeping through the night on her own at 3 months. But, by sleeping through the night I mean 8-9 hours (which is a full night for me, so I'm happy), not 12 as some mamas' LOs do. She typically feeds at about 11pm, we put her down she sleeps until 7ish, feeds again and sleeps again until 9 or 10am.

Okay I'm laughing... DS is 21 months and he has never EVER slept through the night. We are starting to work on it now. I just kept thinking he would drop it on his own, but he's not that kid. He needs a gentle nudge. We are starting by making him sleep without nursing. He's been doing it for about a week. He still wakes in the middle of the night and nurses. This is his only nursing. Our plan is to keep this up for about a month and then cut out the middle of the night nurse... Unless he miraculously drops it--ha!

With my first I didn't night wean until he was off breast milk. It was much easier. With my second, I'm thinking about night weaning and wasn't too sure how to start. Thought about cold turkey but am afraid of another mastitis case. Then I just read what @cheesetomywhine wrote and it sounds like lessening the time makes total sense! I think I'm going to try that sometime next month! :)

Jax dropped them on his own and we co-sleep too. Remember if you're nursing APA says sleeping through the night is one 6hr length of sleep. For the Moms who are getting more than that, early on, it's not the norm.

our LO dropped them himself. i think they were all dropped by around 4 months? (12 hrs sleep straight). maybe ask your ped/doc if you can 'help' him drop the last one? :) sounds like you guys are doing great, though!! :) anytime now!

eta: our LO drinks both formula and breastmilk, so that might've helped him sttn earlier.

Mine STTN at 2-5 months all on her own, then stopped. We just pushed her to drop her last night feed a month ago at 13 months. No training, really, but we sent daddy down instead of me, and she'd just snuggle up with him and go back to sleep. Now she sleeps through about half the time and he goes and snuggles up the rest of the time.

I hadn't thought she was eating much over night, but when we did this, she about doubled her food consumption during the day, so I guess she was. We'd tried before, and she'd screamed bloody murder. This time, she was ok with it.

I weaned. She.would wake once and eat for ~10 min. so I halfed the time. I got down to 3 min. (over a course of about 2 weeks) and had DH go in to soothe. Took a couple of nights of him rocking her but so far so good! She's almost 5 months. I should note that I do a dreamfeed at 11. Good luck!

Or did LO drop them on his/her own? LO is 9 months and just in the last two weeks is consistently down to 1 feed a night, which he did on his own. I wanted to give him a chance to drop down on his own cuz he definitely still did 2-3 times a night, then 1-2, and now once. I have been ok with this because he generally goes back to sleep and for the most part seemed to be really hungry. But I am thinking of the future and beautiful, uninterrupted sleep!. So for mommas who had a LO still waking up to eat: did your LO drop it on hus/her own or did you have to train?
