I worked in the float pool which allowed me to try out different areas to see where I might want to work permanently. They also paid back some of my loans as long as I worked there a certain number of years. </p> <p>@Mrs. Jacks: Congratulations!!! I just made sure that I picked primary care and that I practice in shortage areas. My sister did the same thing as a nurse and we both received loan repayment benefits. The plan was to continue paying for it all out of pocket - but on a PT income paying for FT daycare, plus tuition on very little FAFSA money, I may have to - but I hate to do it! I got some assistance by teaching in a low income school for 5 years, it felt so good to pay them off 2 years ago! </p>
