He's kind of shy by nature which is why this makes it so much harder on us. I'm glad to hear that a lot of kids stop crying after the parents leave. I just checked in and my mom said he doesn't hear him crying anymore (she's checking up on him). Wagon Sr.'s first day was actually fantastic and I was still a mess all. day. long. Honestly, at his age it's really the best thing for him and before you know it he will LOVE it!!! I've talked to all kinds of parents, and I've heard things like "my daughter cried at every single dropoff for 2 years... but she stopped as soon as I left, every single day." When interviewing the daycare I asked if any kids cried ALL day... and the director was like... "well... we hold them if they cry... ..." she couldn't even really understand my question because all kids eventually stop crying! He's 2 and he's never been away from either one of us for more than an hour. He was hysterical and screaming and crying like he was being tortured! It was the saddest thing ever. Sigh. I know it's gonna get better but I hate the thought that he thinks we abandoned him. </p> <p>How long did it take your LO's to stop crying and actually enjoy daycare? </p>
