I would as long as you have headphones to block out the speakers some. I've been to a number of concerts since having my son, and I've noticed almost all of them have a handful of babies at them. They are all wearing headphones. I've yet to take him, but that's just because concerts are my time to get away.

I would! As long as it is easy to leave if it is too much for him/her :) It would be especially awesome if there was a safe place to put them down to do some dancing!

We took LO to the symphony a few weekends ago - it was a child friendly matinee but LO loved it. She was very quiet, and "danced" to the music in our laps. She enthusiastically applauded at every break in the music.

If your LO likes music, I say go for it!

We're planning to go to the Newport Folk Festival and will bring LO with us.

I haven't (LO is only 7 months) but I've seen lots of toddlers at concerts! And they were not the uh, family-friendly kind. Bring noise-cancelling headphones (or at least some earmuffs/normal headphones) for ear protection and you'll be golden. Just make sure to check bag limits, some venues may not let you truck in everything you need for a 2 year old!

Is this a crazy idea? We are thinking of taking our almost two year old with us to a Christian concert. It is a family friendly event but I wonder of she is too young? Have you ever taken a young child to a concert like this?
