DD became very attached to me in the third trimester but after DS was born she got less clingy. There has never been any jealousy issues so far. We are cycling back and she is clingy once again. DD was 29m when DS was born so around the age of your LO.

My oldest also became very attached at the end of my second pregnancy. I've heard from a lot of moms that this happens, almost like the kids can sense the big change coming up. When DS came along, though, she actually did fine. She was very interested in her baby brother, and she didn't seem jealous at all. Also DD and DH really became close during my pregnancy and while DS was a newborn. They have such a close relationship now, and it's so nice to see them together. :)

I recently started my 3rd trimester and suddenly my 2 yo has become more attached to me. He wants to sit in my ever-shrinking lap, hug me, kiss me, be picked up by me. It's really, really sweet; I'm not at all complaining. But I wonder if this is related to the baby. If he *knows* his world is about to be turned upside-down, or if it's just a coincidence.

In the first few months, I actually felt like he was pulling away from me. He stopped nursing and became closer to DH. Now it seems like it's swinging back to me. I'm also wondering how this will all play out once his sister arrives. Will he be able to back off when the time comes?

(I'm putting this in Toddlers, but maybe it's Pregnancy??)
