We went from crib to floor mattress at around 15-16 months. It was a a pretty seamless transition. She slept her usual 11-12 hours her first night! She doesn't roll off anymore but she sleeps a bit crazy, lies sideways, her feet will be where her pillow is, etc. We had a bumper for her at first but took it off when we were sure she wouldn't roll off. I think when I give her the box spring, I may put it back on for a little bit.

Our cribs turn into a full size bed so we went straight from crib at age 3 to the full size bed.

We went from crib to twin size mattress on the floor at 22 months. She doesn't fall out of bed at all, but I plan on keeping it on the floor for the foreseeable future.

We went straight to a twin because we'll need the crib next month for #2. It didn't make sense to convert it to the toddler bed only to transition to a big bed a few months later.

I know we talk a lot about transitioning from crib to toddler bed, but I'm curious when you switched from toddler bed to a regular bed. I feel like LO is already outgrowing her toddler bed, but that could be due to the fact that she brings every toy and book she owns in there every night! Her crib also transitions to a full size bed, so we were thinking of buying the mattress, box spring, and frame in January. We have one of those side rail things we could put on, if need be too.

When did you transition your LO to a regular size bed?
