LO is 3 years 2 months. It goes ups and downs as if he had a menstral cycle. There are days/weeks he is this devil from hell throwing tantrum and crying on every single step in 5 minute intervals, then there are days/weeks that he is just a very easy sweetheart. Husband said maybe it relates to certain brain development explosion, or that he suddenly got stimulated and learned a lot of things, and during those times he got more difficult? Sounds very logical but not sure if there is any truth to it. We are in the upturn at the moment and I am crossing my fingers. He really tries my patience when he goes to the low point. When we just got over a very very difficult weekend, I would be relieved letting him go to school and I actually dread picking him up. It can get that bad.

Overall, I am still frustrated he still doesn't understand cause and effect. For example, he wants a banana at dinner time and I said, if you finish eating your dinner then I will get you a banana. Then he started whining he needs a banana. On bad days it goes to full on crying and tantrum when the simple thing is if you finish the plate of food then you get a banana?

DD will be 2 in May and the terrible twos are making their way into our household for sure! All of a sudden bath time is no longer her favorite activity. It happened overnight and very suddenly. She screams bloody hell during shampoo time. Our last 2 lunch outings to meet up with friends went horribly with her wanting to walk around the restaurant. She does not like sitting in the high chair these days. The tantrums and ignoring instructions are in full effect. I knew they were coming though. She can't stay sweet forever. Her first year of life was super calm so I knew the sweet times wouldn't last forever.

LO will be 2 in 2 weeks. She makes this weird, loud grunting noise when she wants something. It is equal tie for worst noise in the world along with her whining cry.

DS1 is 2.5. Our only problem is eating. It's so hit or miss! I wish he would eat like he used to. It stresses me out!

E will be 2 in two weeks. She's pretty hit and miss. But it's always when she doesn't get her way.

@HLK208: that sounds so rough. Hugs!

She isn't horrible. But the tantrums are getting more frequent when she doesn't get her way. I was hoping by now she would play by herself a little more, but nope, she has to be with DH or I all the time when we are home just the three of us.

LO #2 will be 3 in June and holy crap, the tantrums are intense lately...

I took her to the mall twice within two weeks and both times I had to leave early because she was screaming and throwing herself on the ground. I know she's overtired a majority of the time since she doesn't nap, goes to bed at 8pm and wakes at 5am. But usually she would just be a little whiny when she got tired...not anymore.

Oh and when I tried to lay her down for a nap the other day, I rocked her and sang to her, for over an hour. She kicked and hit me the entire time. She held onto my necklace and pulled so hard it broke. She never napped. Fun times.

How is your toddler doing these days?

LO 1 Is 3 and her whining has improved in the last two weeks...fingers crossed. She has a really hard time with saying sorry to her little sister so we are trying to work on that.. :-( "I am not sorry for taking your bow/book/etc."

LO 2 is almost two and she is starting to throw crazy little tantrums when she doesn't get her way. They don't last long but they are amusing/frustrating to watch!
