@blackbird: At first it did, he would slip books through there when he was mad at me. But he got over it.

@mrbee: wuttttt Ok we need that. Is it like the ones on regular doors?

@BandDmommy: I wonder if the fact that the door opens just a little bit would just piss her the hell off more? Plus I don't want her morning screaching to wake up T and jack our mornings up.

She does have a tendency to go into her room during the day and close it (especially if she's tantrumming, she will go in herself and shut us away, cool down, then come out) so i like the idea that it's easy to disengage the lock during non-sleep times

I feel like an asshole locking her in her own room, LOL. Dh asked if it's even legal to do so *head desk*

This.. but put it up HIGH.. Our son will drag a chair over and try to reach it so it needs to be out of chair reach as well..

@blackbird: There's a plastic sliding latch you can put on the top of your door! We used it for our eldest, and it worked great!

Damnit. We took a side off E's crib Saturday because she was flinging herself into it. So now she has free reign, basically. She messes around at nap time (i plunked her in a PnP yesterday out of frustration, where she laid down and slept), and gets up early in the morning.

I put a childproof door knob on her door last night. She opened the door in about 5 seconds this morning. It's a game for her to come in and out of her room, even if I do it with zero fanfare.

Anybody got any good ideas to keep the door closed (not a baby gate)? Or is my only option to put a locking door on it and have it lock from the outside? We are getting her a colored My Tot Clock, which arrives today.
