Oh man, there's no way I'd plan to walk around hot, muggy NYC with just a carrier and no stroller.

@Pumpkin Pie: Yes! I'm out on Long Island. It depends on how long of a day you're doing in NYC... I have a 20 month old, and she probably won't walk to stand/walk the entire day. But if someone is willing to use a carrier for when you're in transit or when she's tired, then it should be fine! I'd maybe get a super cheapie/umbrella stroller when you get here if you're nervous? Ugh if you're swinigng over my way I'd totally lend you mine!

@snowjewelz: We're actually be in NYC. If I recall correctly, you are from around there? Do you think it would be OK not to bring a stroller? We'll be in the NY/NJ area.

Love my Toddler Tula. Sounds like a Toddler mesh Tula would be perfect for you!

Solar Connecta! I have a toddler one; it's made from swimsuit material so it's super light and blocks sun. It ships from UK, so maybe you want to see if your local babywearing groups or BST groups have any for sale. It's not the most comfortable for long term wear since it has no padding but most people I know do wear for long periods without issues! I also see people in my babywearing group directly wearing in the water!

Any suggestions between the Tula and the Lillebaby? I'm going to try to look for a used one since I don't actually know if LO will be ok in these.

I'd try a mesh toddler Tula.
We have a regular toddler Tula that my tall 3.5yo still fits in.

Also, the Carry On that we got has a zip-away mesh panel but I think they also have full mesh versions.

We have used 2 Ergos (mesh and 360) and bought a toddler Lillebaby Carry On during the Prime Day deals. I didn't have a huge issue carrying DD (also 23 months) in the Ergos, but as soon as I put the Lillebaby on I could tell what a better fit it was for both of us - it's definitely more of a seat for her than just being strapped to my back. We've only used it a couple times and not for more than an hour, but she seems to like it a lot more and rarely asks to get down.

We'll be traveling starting next weekend, and we don't plan to bring a stroller because we have too much luggage already. LO is 23 months, and I was thinking of bringing a carrier. I have an ergo 360, but she doesn't seem to like it, and it feels too thick. We'll be in a hot and humid place so I'd like to find something thinner than the ergo 360.

What are your favorite toddler carriers?
