I'm out on Long Island. It depends on how long of a day you're doing in NYC... I have a 20 month old, and she probably won't walk to stand/walk the entire day. But if someone is willing to use a carrier for when you're in transit or when she's tired, then it should be fine! I'd maybe get a super cheapie/umbrella stroller when you get here if you're nervous? I have a toddler one; it's made from swimsuit material so it's super light and blocks sun. It ships from UK, so maybe you want to see if your local babywearing groups or BST groups have any for sale. It's not the most comfortable for long term wear since it has no padding but most people I know do wear for long periods without issues! I didn't have a huge issue carrying DD (also 23 months) in the Ergos, but as soon as I put the Lillebaby on I could tell what a better fit it was for both of us - it's definitely more of a seat for her than just being strapped to my back. LO is 23 months, and I was thinking of bringing a carrier. I have an ergo 360, but she doesn't seem to like it, and it feels too thick. We'll be in a hot and humid place so I'd like to find something thinner than the ergo 360. </p> <p>What are your favorite toddler carriers? </p>
