I used the Emily bag from http://www.shopbetterlifebags.com . It's basically a messenger style diaper bag which was essential because I really needed both of my hands free rather than carrying a shoulder bag which often falls off and is annoying....

We packed his water, snacks, a book, diaper, wipes, changing pad, a plastic bag filled with pouches, a coulple small toys and my wallet/cell phone.

We used a Skip Hop bag. My LO has an aversion to carrying his own backpack...he is such a little diva. I've tried to get him to wear his backpack so many times (he's just over 2) and he takes it off after 20 seconds. Even though we have to carry his bag for him on the plane, it's nice to keep his things separate from mine.

We brought Cs Skip hop backpack on the plane with us. It worked out really well and she wore it in the airport. She's 2.

R has a skip hop bag and I don't think she could carry it. We use it for toys in the car for now. I would just try and put her stuff with yours.

What kind of bag did you pack your toddler's carry-on stuff in? I was thinking of getting a Skip Hop backpack, but I'm not sure if Sadie would actually be able to wear it. But, she'll be in the stroller most of the time at the airport anyway. We're bringing two rolling carry-ons, but they'll be in the overhead.

A few of the items I'd be putting in the bag - diapers, wipes, snacks, sippy, iPad, toys, and books.
